Anderson Alexander is the journalistic alias of Tim Gallant, a Canadian writer transplanted in Nashville, TN.
A self-described “theocratic libertarian,” Alexander broadly advocates the freedom afforded by small government, while insisting that the Bible must inform and undergird matters of justice. He has written influential work in biblical studies (under his given name), and has had a lifelong interest in Christian engagement with politics.
Mr Alexander chose his alias based on real-life family connections (Anderson was his paternal grandfather’s last name, while Alexander was his mother’s maiden name and is also his own given middle name). He decided to use a pseudonym because he writes extensively in other fields, and wanted to keep those clearly delineated from his journalistic endeavors.
